So, the taco ingredients from last night are finished. I took the frame and skin of the chicken and put it in the crock pot with two cups of water. It made a beautiful chicken stock this morning when I strained everything. I am blessed. It went into the freezer, labeled, dated and ready for soup at some point.
Tonight's dinner is an easy one.
Dollar Tree onion rings
pork beans (canned)
steamed broccoli
a small salad (lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber with French or Ranch dressing)
pan fried hot dogs (no buns, will have to be on bread for those who want it)
home made apple crisp (a few apples peeled, sliced, covered with two single serve packages of organic brown sugar with whole oats and flax oatmeal, some cinnamon, and a touch of butter baked in the oven).
We had pan fried hot dogs (on bread) and canned pork n beans for dinner last night too- it was yummy. :) As a kid we had 'beans and franks' a lot for dinner. My dad taught me to add a couple small drops of mustard and a little bit of pepper to the beans. So yummy!
ReplyDeleteMMmmm- your apple crisp sounds soooo good- and easy to make!
The apple crisp is very easy as long as you have everything. It uses up a bunch of healthy stuff too. I was surprised by the Dollar Tree onion rings, They were pretty good.
DeleteOur Dollar Tree store does not have a fridge or freezer section. It only has dry foods in bags and boxes. It sounds like a lot of people get good cold items there- the onion rings sound like a good deal.
