I am hoping to incorporate more of the hidden surprises into my February meal plan. So, for today's version of using things up....making bean soup for the five of us.
1 lb pinto beans (I bought these for Feb.)
1 ham bone (hidden surprise from Christmas 2013)**
Three large carrots (bought for Feb)
two cups of chicken stock (made from a carcass, dated Jan 20, 2014)**
So, the large list of hidden surprises is beginning to drop.
