I took out a pound of ground turkey and let it defrost. I mixed an egg, quite a bit of bread crumbs, some spices, and Worcestershire sauce into the ground turkey. I made meatballs using a tablespoon measure spoon. I scooped 25 of them out into a cookie sheet and baked them in the oven.
I had two open jars of spaghetti sauce (dollar tree garlic marinara, and Aldi regular) and covered the meatballs in sauce after they were cooked and defrosted some hoagie rolls. I defrosted some Monterrey jack cheese...
we had meatballs sandwiches for dinner!
Sounds like a very frugal and delicious meal!
ReplyDeleteIt was great. My family loved them. It made enough or one sandwich each (with four meat balls, a generous portion of cheese and sauce). Next time I will make extras.
